Hills Branch – Ray Galbraith.

On Sunday the 6th March, Hills Branch will celebrate 40th Years of operation, and is staging the 2016 Annual Show at the Don Moore Community Centre at North Rocks; with increased awards and prizes along with associated social events. The prior Saturday evening has been allocated to a social get-together for exhibitors, judges and Hills Branch members. It is anticipated that country and metropolitan exhibitors will be in attendance in greater numbers than normal, for this 40th Show.

Judges for the show will be Gary Gazzard ( Newcastle), Jean Painter ( Bargo ), and Keith Nicholls ( Nabiac ). The original judges who officiated at the first show held by Hills Branch are endeavouring to be in attendance. Hills District residents will have an ideal opportunity to see some of the best budgerigars from all parts of the state, under show conditions. It is anticipated that 500 – 600 birds will be in attendance. Visitors can view the birds from 12-30 pm

The Royal Easter Show will also be held during March, with the Caged Birds exhibits and in particular Budgerigars being held on the 17th and 18th, Including a separate section for Junior Exhibits.
