Following the huge success of their first meeting in the Hills Shire the Bromeliad Society of Australia INC will hold their next meeting at the Federation Pavilion, Castle Hill Showground Saturday, 12 March with plant sales from 12 – 1pm. Enter from the new Showground entrance into Doran Drive, Castle Hill.

“At our first meeting in the Hills Shire we had one of the biggest attendees for a long time. There are obviously many people in this area that love bromeliads.

Guest speaker on the 12 March will be Joy Clark and who will discuss the species Neoregelia lilliputiana and its hybrids. Lilliputiana is the smallest of the Neo species and is popular with growers who want the cute factor for their miniature collection. They are also idea for people who would love a garden but live in a unit or small property, as lilliputiana’s grow happily in hanging baskets and they are low maintenance” said Ian Hook, President, BSA

Our meetings include plant sales, club news, raffles and competitions as well as providing an opportunity to meet with like-minded people in a friendly and inviting environment. Visitors to the club are most welcome to attend a couple of meetings prior to joining.

The membership annual fee is $25 and the club meets on the second Saturday of each month with plant sales to the public and members commencing at 12.00pm followed by the meeting at 1pm.” said Ian Hook, President, BSA.
