3rd Botan­i­cal Bazaar Gold Coast Gar­den Expo

Me­an­der through com­mu­nity gar­dens to learn about aquapon­ics and hy­dro­pon­ics, ur­ban or­gan­ics and sus­tain­able liv­ing. 16th–17th Wild­flower Show & Plants Mar­ket

9am–3pm Au­di­to­rium, Bris­bane Botanic Gar­dens Mt Coot-tha, Mt Coot-tha Rd, Toowong. 0417 538 383. $3. En­joy Na­tive Plants Queens­land’s show­case of na­tive flora il­lus­trat­ing ‘Where the wild things are’. Spe­cial­ist groups ex­hibit ferns, gre­vil­leas and more, and view na­tive frogs, bats, birds and but­ter­flies. Ex­perts can iden­tify your plants, and lots of rare and pop­u­lar plants are for sale. Re­fresh­ments avail­able.

22nd–24th Tam­borine Spring­time on the Moun­tain

9am–4pm. Botanic Gar­dens, For­sythia Dr, Ea­gle Heights. 0458 102 344. $5/$20. Pick up a map at the Botanic Gar­dens or any of the seven di­verse open gar­dens and fol­low the trail. Stop at Mag­pie Gar­den cafe or pic­nic on Sym­phony Hill.
