15th–17th 10th Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival

10am–6pm. Long Road Sports Ground, Long Rd, North Tamborine. 0414 300 558. Follow the 17km scarecrow trail to spot hundreds of happy, hideous and hilarious bird-scaring straw people. Join the scavenger hunt, fossick at the weekend Design Collective market (Sat & Sun, 12–7pm) where you can listen to live music, cheer on the pig race, play bubble soccer and more. Refreshments available or picnic around the mountain.
