Duck in for a true family treat

THE 2012 Royal Geelong Show kicks off today with a host of good old-fashioned entertainment for the whole family.

This year’s show is the 155th running of the four-day event, with day one featuring displays and demonstrations and the school concert band competition, which starts at 9.30am.

The Geelong Show is the biggest in country Victoria and again will feature spectacular fire- works displays tomorrow and on Saturday night before the event concludes at 5pm on Sunday.

Gates open at 9.30am today and admission is $20 for adults, $15 concession and $ 12 for students.

Children under age seven are admitted free and family passes cost $50.
