Price tips Extreme late burst

MICK Price believes Extreme Choice’s finishing burst is unmatchable and will win him the Group 1 Coolmore Stakes (1200m) at Flemington on Saturday.

“I think his last 200m he’s the strongest finisher. It’s won him a Blue Diamond and a Moir and it will win him a Coolmore,” Price said.

Price believes the Melbourne form will stand up against the Sydney stars such as Capitalist, Astern, Star Turn and Russian Revolution and said “we’ll spank them”.

Extreme Choice is $3.50 favourite with TAB fixed odds marginally in front of Astern at $3.60. Stablemate Flying Artie is $11.

Price will pit his stablemates Flying Artie and Extreme Choice against each other for the third time with the score one apiece. Both horses have won their only starts this campaign.
