The Equalizer

McCall (Denzel Washington) is a man of order. The way he shines his shoes, orders his apartment and goes about his work at a hardware store is timed to perfection. But he’s also hiding a secret and is intent on leaving the past behind him to lead a quiet life. That is until he meets Teri (Chloe Grace Moretz), a young woman under control of Russian gangsters, who desperately needs his help. Coming out of his self-imposed retirement awakens his desire for justice and so begins a thrilling and deadly fight for what’s right. Washington is pensive, serious and totally in form. He’s played similar characters before, but here shows a toughness that will keep you hooked.
