Top Gun 2 in the wings

TOM Cruise must still feel the need for speed, with the star declaring a sequel to his 1986 action film Top Gun is “definitely happening”.

Cruise, who is promoting his latest film The Mummy, was speaking to the Seven Network’s Sunrise yesterday when he was asked if rumours of Top Gun 2 were true. “It’s true, it’s true,” he said. “I’m going to start filming it probably in the next year.”
