Individuality key at Bellarine Springs
INDIVIDUAL style and taste is an important quality among Pinnacle Living villages — and Bellarine Springs in Drysdale is no different.
Bellarine Springs has fast found itself becoming a desired location for those over 55 looking to downsize in a fashionable sense. Each home is distinct from its neighbour, so there are no duplexes in sight.
Pinnacle living CEO Geoffrey Reeve, pictured, said that retirement is a time to celebrate personal preferences and passions and a living space should reflect this.
“We take pride in making our villages and homes attractive, individual and instantly recognisable for their quality,” Mr Reeve said.
“We’ve given great care and attention to all aspects of our design, from the roads, the gardens and homes to the community buildings and facilities.
“Our villages are the very best available today and will be for a long time into the future.”
Bellarine Springs has 45 residents living within the village, with new residents moving in every month.
Mr Reeve said that as well as enjoying all the village has to offer, being the creators of a new community has invigorated resident’s lives.
“We have been given fabulous feedback,” Mr Reeve said.
“They have enjoyed going out and doing activities that they previously could not do.
“They love exploring the Bellarine Peninsula and discovering so many hidden gems.”
Residents Lola and Geoff Johns moved into Bellarine Springs last year and said that they love that the houses all look different at Bellarine Springs, so that residents could really make them their own.
“Some friends tell us they can’t even put a pot plant outside in their retirement village, but Geoff Reeve hasn’t put any restrictions on what you can do,” Mrs Johns said.
“When you chat with Geoff, you know you’re talking to the boss and if he can’t answer your question or request, he’ll be responsible for getting back to you.”
“There’s always something happening, and everyone just makes you feel so welcome and encourages you to join in,” Mr Johns added.
“We feel lucky to have come in at an early stage so we can be part of this community as it grows and enjoy the companionship of so many lovely people.”
Construction on the community centre is full steam ahead and is set to open by September. The facility is set to become a valuable hub for all residents with a wide range of activities readily available. In addition to its versatility, Mr Reeve said it will also be a striking building of enviable style and quality.
“The whole village has taken its design styling from the architecture of Frank Lloyd-Wright and we have really gone to town to bring those features out in the community centre,” he said.
“We have a massive 8m clear span outside living area overlooking our bowling green and tennis court, facing back down the escarpment looking across to Geelong and the You Yangs in the background.
“It will be a magnificent place to relax and enjoy socialising with your friends.”
