Jewellery and cash stolen from homes

- THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLES THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE BURGLARY PROPERTY DAMAGE

SUBURBS targeted in home burglaries in the past week include Corio, Newtown and Newcomb, with three each in East Geelong, Torquay and Geelong central.

Cash and jewellery was stolen in East Geelong, Torquay, Hamlyn Heights, Drumcondra and St Albans Park.

Jewellery was also taken in Bell Post Hill, Newtown and Newcomb.

A firearm was stolen during a burglary in Wandana Heights, where offenders stole car keys, power tools and a Holden Rodeo. NUMBER-PLATES have been stolen from Corio, East Geelong, Leopold, Bell Park, Belmont, Charlemont, Geelong, Geelong West, Herne Hill, Highton, Newtown, Norlane and Queensclif­f.

Cash was stolen from cars in Aireys Inlet, Colac, Lorne, Newtown and Torquay, while clothing was also taken from cars in Torquay.

Police say power tools were also stolen from a car parked in Winchelsea. A VEHICLE stolen from Belmont has turned up in Mannerim while another car stolen in East Geelong was found in the suburb late last week.

A vehicle taken from Lara was found in Tarneit, while two vehicles stolen in Newcomb were recovered nearby. Meanwhile, a car stolen from Torquay was found in Herne Hill. ALCOHOL was stolen from a licensed venue in Geelong, cash was taken from a retailer in Belmont, while power tools and computers were stolen from a business in Drysdale. Clothing was stolen from a factory in Torquay. FENCES were damaged in Corio, Elliminyt, Norlane and North Geelong, while graffiti has been found in Drysdale, Geelong, Lara and Norlane. Windows and vehicles again made up the majority of damage reported to police.
