Laughs and fine dining just the Tonic at Terindah

-

THE region’s wineries are heating things up to beat the winter blues.

Terindah Estate is trying something new to give people even more of a reason to visit the Bellarine Peninsula in the cooler months, with its first dinner and a show event.

The winery is bringing a cappella girl group Ginger And Tonic to its venue this weekend.

Fresh from a run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the quartet’s Desperate and Dateless show combines killer harmonies with catastrophic dating stories.

Tickets are $75 and guests will be treated to a two-course meal with alternating mains of jamon-wrapped, corn fried chicken breast with blue cheese sauce and braised lamb shank.

Dessert will be either a chocolate espresso cake or classic crème brulee.

Terindah’s events and sales manager Tiffany Long said the hilarious show provided a point of difference from other jazz or classical music entertainment offerings around the region.

“We thought it would be perfect for a ladies’ night out, but it’s turned into a date night,” Ms Long said with a laugh.

“When we organised it we thought it would appeal to single ladies, that younger Tinder crowd would come and check it out, but our demographic is a fair bit older than that anyway.

“So it’s looking like a 35- to 65-yearold date night, which is great.”

The show follows the four women as they try to figure out why their relationships never work out, having tried everything from salsa classes to swiping right on Tinder.

The group has performed at the Queenscliff Music Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival and Perth’s Fringe World.

Tickets are still available and can be booked by ringing the Terindah Estate.
