Playing it positive

LOCAL sporting figures, key community backers and footy and netball royalty formed part of the strong turnout for the Kempe Read the Play dinner at the new President’s Room at Simonds Stadium.

Western Bulldogs backer and female football pioneer Susan Alberti was guest speaker — and finished by donating $5000.

Read the Play is a mental health program for junior levels of sports clubs, which also aims to remove stigmas around mental illness and provide avenues for people to seek professional help.
