How about a tram or bus connection to Pako Street, one to Waurn Ponds via Belmont. Connect our existing social hubs together. More to Geelong than the waterfront. Matt Barnard
Melbourne and Thessaloniki are sister cities. There is a lot we can learn from European cities – late-night cafes and bars for the young who go out to have fun without getting drunk and being violent, great restaurants that serve awesome food with great service, public transport that works. Considering that there’s a multitude of issues needing attention, such as public transport, in Geelong, using $25,000 of taxpayers’ money to “investigate” this proposal is ridiculous. Ash Wee-Hee
It’s too expensive to go to the Geelong waterfront these days, with the cost of parking and overpriced eateries. It’s better value to head to Torquay or Williamstown for a day out. Galah
