Geelong Magistrates’ Court heard Kirk Bradbury and his accomplices had drugs and stolen property in their car when police found them stranded along Blackgate Rd in Freshwater Creek at 6.40am last Friday.

Bradbury, 23, pleaded guilty to 12 charges yesterday, including counts of theft, theft from a motor vehicle, attempted thefts and drug possession.

The court was told some of the crimes were committed earlier on Friday, while the cooffenders were stealing from different properties.

Among property found in the car were a massage table, skateboard, sunglasses, drugs, scales and cash.

Lawyer Shane Balkin told the court the defendant had been in jail since his arrest, and should be considered for a community corrections order.

“He’s had sometime to think about this,” Mr Balkin said. “He needs to get some help for the drug situation.”

Magistrate Ann McGarvie agreed, also ordering he not associate with his alleged cooffenders.

Mr McGarvie warned the man he needed to learn from the programs he would participate in on the order to ensure he kept himself out of jail in the future.
