- CHAD VAN ESTROP

POLICE are on the hunt for Robert Tuipulotu after he was allegedly involved in two brawls in the Geelong mall in a month.

The Belmont 21-year-old has shaved his head and remains in hiding, police say.

Mr Tuipulotu is about 185cm tall, has a solid build, black hair and an olive complexion. He is wanted following a fight that spilled into the mall on July 18 and forced Dymocks bookstore staff to shut the store’s roller-door to protect themselves.

The fight, which started about 5.30pm, broke out in behaviour is fine around here but I’ve seen about three fights in 10 months.”

Annie An, who operates a business at one of the mall’s entrances, said anti-social behaviour was hurting her bottom line.

“Customers are scared,” Ms An said.

“A couple of years ago police increased patrols and it worked, this should happen again.”

Two days after the July fight senior police and council leaders announced they would meet to determine a method to tackle anti-social mall behaviour.

Anyone with information on Mr Tuipulotu is urged to contact the Geelong police on 5225 3100 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
