“We specialise in tight access, in building sites and back yards, being a small truck we can get the bin into places most big trucks can’t go. There are a lot of units being built these days and we can put a bin right where they want it without being on the kerb or the roads, the council require permits for that and other people usually fill them up,” said Mr Steen.

“We have new trucks and are still building up. We solve people’s rubbish problems all over the Bellarine and as far as Fairhaven, Winchelsea, Bannockburn and Lara,” said Mr Steen. “We operate every day but Sundays, people dial us when they have a mess they need moving and most times we can deliver a same day service.”

Mini Bins can work in with a wide range of needs. “We take most things. The builders we service use the bins for bricks and concrete. We try to make it easy for people and recycle as much as we can with bricks and concrete and green waste all going to different places.” Mr Steen said. With 100 bins for hire Mini Bins are always on the move, but the best part of the job for Chris Steen is the personal side, “I enjoy meeting people and talking to them, especially the interesting older people who have 50 years’ worth of stuff in their sheds.”
