TRINITY LANDS DREAM ROLE

- JAIMEE WILKENS

OCEAN Grove rising star Trinity MarellSeach is ready to take on her biggest challenge yet after landing a leading role on Channel 9 drama Counterplay.

The new show has been likened to popular teenage dramas Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars, and is set to air on Nine and stream on Amazon Prime this year.

Thirteen-year-old Trinity will enter in the second season as Dillon, a teenager living with foster parents and attending South Point Academy on scholarship with many of the main characters.

“I was on the trampoline with my sister when my mum called me inside, she handed me the phone and Chrys Phillips (show creator/director) said I had got the role,” she said.

“I couldn’t believe it, so many things were going through my mind.”

Trinity is no stranger to being in front of a camera or centre stage, with eight short films and several musical theatre roles already under her belt.

But the role of Dillon in Counterplay will be her biggest yet.

Mother Sammy Marell is incredibly proud of her daughter’s achievements and the hard work she puts into her acting.

“Trinity works extremely hard and is always willing to take on feedback in auditions and while on set filming, she gives 100 per cent at all times,” she said.

“I’m extremely proud of her, not only in her acting opportunities, but academically as well.”
