‘No way Bomber involved’

- ANTHONY DOWSLEY

BESIEGED former Cats coach Mark “Bomber’’ Thompson showed no sign his property was being used by a bikielinked alleged drug trafficker.

According to supporters Thompson was relaxed the night before his property was raided and did not make reference to issues regarding a tenant, understood to be charged man Thomas Windsor, living at his converted Port Melbourne warehouse.

It has also been claimed Mr Windsor was living in an apartment within the property, rather than the main living area even though Thompson had temporarily moved out.

“They’re not in his part of the house,’’ it was claimed.

“There is no way known he will be involved in these shenanigans.

“It will come out that he has not done it. We all know a shady character or two ... but I can’t confirm or deny that (he knows either of the men).’’

Other inquiries made by News Corp have not established whether Thompson knows the charged men, Windsor and Karl Holt, who were last week remanded in custody after facing a magistrates’ court.

Thompson, 54, who was interviewed by Victoria Police on Tuesday following the raid on his house the previous Friday, has remained silent on the police investigation.
