Dancing in the summer rain

-

BOARDIES and sun on Thursday gave way to brollies and puddles yesterday as the heavens opened.

Late yesterday, 13mm of rain had fallen in Geelong, with more predicted today.

BOM Senior Forecaster Dean Stewart said a thin band of tropical moisture sweeping the country from a cyclone off the coast of WA had brought about the dramatic change in weather since yesterday’s sunshine.

“It’s a fairly narrow band and Geelong has copped the worst,” he said.

Mr Stewart said 2 or 3mm of rain was expected to fall over Geelong today as we head for a top of 22C and 21C tomorrow.
