On September 26, 2015, two vehicles were set alight in the clinic carpark on Bacchus Marsh Rd in Corio, about 3.20am. Both were extensivel­y damaged. On January 1, 2016, the historical wooden box was torched on the club’s Weddell Rd grounds in North Geelong, about 11pm. The structure was totally gutted. On May 11, 2016, 12 vehicles were damaged in a major fire at the scrapping yard on the corner of St Georges Rd and Walpole Pde, about 9.20pm. On January 24, 2017, just prior to school returning, more than $500,000 damage was caused to classrooms at the Richard St school, about 10.38pm. On August 30, 2017, the service station under constructi­on on Thompson Rd was targeted, with a forklift on site set on fire about 8.25pm. On December 5, 2015, the Baptist Church on Spruhan Ave was damaged about 4.20am. Minutes later, the nearby St Peter’s Chains Worship Church on Sparks Rd was completely destroyed. The same morning at 5.25am a Christmas tree on Pakington St in Geelong West was set alight. The three fires were believed to be related. On April 15, 2016, the Presbyteri­an Church on Pakington St in Geelong West was torched about 4.30am with the silhouette of a man arriving and leaving the scene caught on nearby CCTV. On May 18, 2016, the Islamic Society of Geelong Mosque on Bostock Ave in Manifold Heights was razed by fire, about 2.10am.
