GROWING popularity has seen the move to a bigger location in Lorne.

Members of the Hare Krishna Valley will host the event on the Great Ocean Road foreshore on January 21.

Free of alcohol, drugs and cigarettes (and meat), the Hare Krishnas release powdered colour from the main stage hourly.

“Colour springs from our hearts and rains from the sky as we dance and sing together,” organisers said.

“The festival signifies the blooming of colours which manifest with the forming of new friendships.”

The Festival of Colours is a cultural event celebrating the oneness of human spirit, and is based upon an ancient festival that finds its origins in India.

While he moved to the coast several years ago, he cast those concerns aside with a brilliant solo gig in the outdoor area of the Ocean Grove Hotel on Wednesday. WE’VE been (impatiently) watching the development of The Whiskery at Bellarine. The Teddy and the Fox gin crew are now just weeks away from opening the cellar door for Bellarine Distillery. Let us raise a fine single malt to that.
