Cats lose Cullen to Glamorgan

LARA has been dealt a New Year blow, with star import Tom Cullen heading home to England.

Cats captain-coach Dan Weigl yesterday confirmed that Cullen, a powerful wicketkeeper batsman, had returned home to begin pre-season training with County club Glamorgan.

The news isn’t all bad at Bisinella Oval, with Weigl slotting back into the side. Weigl has battled with his troublesome foot, but is hopeful the worst of his problems are behind him.

The Tigers have made a host of changes, with Tobias Hogg, James Fisher, Adam Korth and Michael Blain all out.

Glen Talarico, Anthony Quarrell, Clinton Ford and debutant Jake Alsop come into the side.
