Lions lure mid-season recruit

LEOPOLD has netted a mid-season recruit, with Aiden Barrow to make his first XI debut today.

Barrow has crossed from Premier club Kingston Hawthorn, where he played 11 matches across the seconds, thirds and fourths.

The former Warrion batsman will slot into the top order for the Lions, who must win against ladder-leader North Geelong to remain in touch with the top four.

The Magpies will make two changes, with Shaun Kingwell and Mitch Troy returning.

Kingwell and Troy replace Tom Mathieson — who is representing Vic Country at the Australian Country Cricket Championships — and Blake Troy, who returns to the seconds.
