City to blood young Brogden

-

GEELONG City is set to blood more young talent as it searches to secure a finals berth, handing a debut to batsman Cody Brogden.

The left hander has been named to make his first XI debut for the Sharks after a rich vein of form.

Still eligible to play in the under17s, Brogden made 40 in City’s second XI in the final match before Christmas.

In seven matches in the twos, he has made 129 runs at 18.43.

In the juniors, Brodgen has registered 130 runs at 18.57, with a highest score of 84.

City’s opponent, sixth-placed Newtown & Chilwell, is unchanged from its huge win over Leopold last round.
