Drugs found at Bomber’s home to be analysed
FORENSIC testing of drugs found inside Mark ‘Bomber’ Thompson’s home could determined if more charges are laid by investigators.
It is understood evidence seized from Thompson’s converted warehouse in Rouse St, Port Melbourne, were sent away for forensic analysis.
Victoria Police forensic analysis cannot only determine the type of drug but also detect DNA from those who handled them.
Investigations will also centre on where the drugs were found.
Police allegedly found drugs during a raid on Thompson’s Rouse St warehouse on Friday, January 5.
Thomas Windsor, 28, a man with alleged links to bikies had been living on and off at Thompson’s Port Melbourne apartment.
He has been charged with drug trafficking.
Thompson’s property has two separate living areas complete with kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and it was thought Windsor was living there.
Karl Holt, who allegedly has links to the Bandidos bikie gang, has also been charged with trafficking a drug of dependence as part of the same police probe.
Thompson self-presented at a police station and spoke to investigators last week after the raid on his property became public.
He was released without charge although the investigation is ongoing.
The AFL legend this weekend said it had been a “bizarre week’’ and that he had no involvement in any criminal activity.
Since the raid, Thompson has continued to live in the Port Melbourne property but has given little away about how the alleged bikie-linked figures came to live in his house.
