(Central Geelong to Waurn Ponds)

Gheringhap St: To Little Malop St

THERE will be one lane of traffic in each direction (down from two). BIKE lanes will be installed on each side of the road, between the car parks and the kerb. THERE will be a minor loss of car parks.

Moorabool St: Fyans St to Carr St

A TWO-WAY bike lane will be created on the western side of the street. ON-STREET parking in front of Kardinia Park would be removed, with additional spaces to be created nearby. TWO lanes of traffic in each direction would be retained.

High St, Belmont: Barwon Heads Rd to Mt Pleasant Rd

NORTH-BOUND traffic will be reduced to one lane. BIKES will travel downhill in the left-hand traffic lane. A BIKE lane will form part of a shared user path for those going uphill.

High St, Belmont: Rosyln Rd to Settlement Rd

THERE will be one lane of traffic in each direction (down from two). BIKE lanes will be installed on each side of the road, between the car parks and the kerb. THERE will be a minor loss of car parks. (Central Geelong to Herne Hill)

Villamanta St, Geelong West: Latrobe Tce to Pakington St

THE existing pedestrian crossing across Latrobe Tce will be made more cyclistfriendly. THE roundabout will be replaced and a raised intersection will be installed. THE speed limit will be reduced. A signalised crossing is proposed to be installed across Pakington St.

Gertrude St: Pakington St to Shannon Ave

CYCLISTS will be encouraged to use this quieter street to travel between Geelong West and Herne Hill. THE speed limit will be reduced to 40km/h. SPEED humps will be installed and slow-down road treatments applied in up to eight locations. UP to four car parks will be removed at each location to make way for the treatments.

Sydenham Ave, Manifold Heights:

EACH traffic lane will become a shared car/bike lane. NEW pedestrian crossings with signals will be installed on Shannon Ave. A PEDESTRIAN and cyclist refuge (similar to a traffic island) will be installed on Minerva Rd.
