Phones, tools taken in Norlane

- BURGLARY OTHER THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE PROPERTY DAMAGE

IN Norlane building tools and mobile phones were taken from homes.

In Newcomb a garage was hit, and cash, credit cards and computers were stolen from houses.

Burglars in Corio took television­s, cash, computers and jewellery, and in Belmont keys to vehicle were stolen from homes.

Sheds or garages were also targeted in Newtown, Leopold, Barongaroo­k, Barwon Heads, Irrewillip­e and Highton, where power tools were stolen.

Clothing, home audio and a handbag were stolen from a holiday home in Portarling­ton. IN North Geelong a television was taken from a business office and a warehouse was targeted.

Power tools and building tools were stolen from Anglesea. A constructi­on site in Fyansford was hit.

Credit cards were stolen from a business in Geelong and power tools from a farm in Lovely Banks.

Alcohol was taken from a gaming venue in Hamlyn Heights and a business was targeted in Newcomb, along with retailers in Moolap. IN Corio vehicles were stolen and two were taken in each of Leopold, Belmont and Drysdale. The majority of vehicles were stolen from driveways or streets outside private residences. Two were stolen from beach access carparks in Lorne and Bundoora. IN Barwon Heads there were 15 thefts from cars. Most were attributed to a youth offender, who was charged with multiple offences. Cash and mobile phones were among usual items found in vehicles.

Only 11 of the total number of offences involved numberplat­es, most of these in the streets of Geelong West while others are widespread. Other property targeted included handbags, wallets, audio equipment, credit cards, cash, building tools and clothing. HOUSES were damaged across the city, mostly in Whittingto­n, Corio and Norlane where windows were smashed.

Vehicles were damaged at homes in Winchelsea and North Geelong.

A fence in Corio was damaged and a home in Corio was graffitied.

Vehicles were damaged in the street mostly in Belmont, Geelong and Bell Park while graffiti was applied to railway stations at North Shore, Corio, Geelong, South Geelong and Queensclif­f.

A retailer in Colac, shopping complex in Grovedale, a wholesaler in Belmont and a warehouse in Breakwater were also graffitied.
