Brando, Pryor fling revealed

-

MARLON Brando had a sexual fling with comedian Richard Pryor, it has emerged.

The comic’s widow confirmed that claims of an encounter between the pair by music producer Quincy Jones were correct.

Jennifer Lee Pryor said of her late husband’s tryst with Brando: “It was the ’70s! Drugs were still good, especially Quaaludes. If you did enough cocaine, you’d f--- a radiator and send it flowers in the morning.”

Quaalude is the brand name of sedative and hypnotic medication methaqualone. It was popular as a recreational drug in the ’60s and ’70s.

Jones had told New York Magazine the star of Last Tango in Paris — known for its infamous sex scene — would “f--- anything ... a mailbox, James Baldwin, Richard Pryor, Marvin Gaye”.

Yesterday, Ms Lee Pryor insisted her husband, who died in 2005, would have no shame over Jones’s revelation as he was always very open about his sexuality.

She said he documented his sexual escapades extensively in private diaries, which she plans to publish later this year.

The Godfather star Brando, who died in 2004, confirmed his own “homosexual experiences” in an interview in 1976, adding, “and I am not ashamed”.

Jones’s interview has attracted much controversy.

He described the Beatles as “the worst musicians in the world” and claimed Michael Jackson stole “a lot of stuff” from other musicians.
