Go fetch for a good dog cause

-

EVERY dog has its day ... it just happens to be Sunday.

Jimmy’s Dog Training in Wallington is hosting its fourth annual family fun day and twolegged and four-legged friends are invited to get in on the action.

There will be a competition for best dressed, a talent show and a muddy obstacle course that is sure to challenge every man and his dog.

Owner James “Jimmy” Graham said the proceeds raised from the day would go towards his good friends at Geelong Animal Rescue.

“It’s going to be a good fun day out, something different to do with your dog that raises proceeds for animals that aren’t lucky enough to have loving families,” he said.

“There will be a mud run, kissing booth, best-dressed competition and plenty of activities for the kids.”

Mr Graham said he formed a close relationship with the not-forprofit animal rescue organisation when he first started the training business, and regularly took on foster dogs who needed training.

“They’re a bunch of really nice people so we are always happy to look after each other,” he said.

Competitors in the tough mudder doggy run will battle it out for some great prizes, including a month of free group weekend training and a one-on-one behavioural session.

Located on Barry Lane in Wallington, the family fun day starts at 11am and is expected to end at 3pm. Some activities require a gold coin donation.
