Goodwin adds flavour at Lara
MASTERCHEF’S Sam Goodwin will co-host the Master and Apprentice Cooking Competition at the Lara Food and Wine Festival on Sunday, March 25.
As well as his co-host role, Goodwin will entertain audiences with a cooking demonstration using Cobram Estate olive oil.
The Lara festival, which runs from 10am to 4pm, provides an opportunity to sample the region’s best produce, including more than 60 varieties of food and drink.
This is the festival’s 10th year and will be held on the Pirra Mansion estate. Other attractions on the day include the Cheese Champion Competition for cheesemakers and a donut-eating competition for kids aged eight to 12, as well as an all-day music stage.
The Lara Food and Wine Festival is a notfor-profit event run with the assistance of community groups and sponsors.

All spices at Rook are sourced from premium suppliers in Sri Lanka and are considered so good that Sri Lankans in the Geelong region come to Ms Kumbukage for their supplies.
Rook also offers cooking classes. During the next school holidays, they will introduce a family class where kids and parents can learn to cook Sri Lankan food together.
