ROBBIE’S READY TO ROCK

-

IT’S an exciting day for Robbie Williams fans — the superstar will rock Mt Duneed Estate today at its largest ever A Day on the Green.

Promoter Michael Newton described reviews for the tour as “incredible”.

“Car parks are opening a couple of hours earlier than usual and will be open from 1pm,” Mr Newton said. “McHarry’s bus services have sold out, but people can still hire private buses.”

Roundhouse Entertainment urged concertgoers to book a taxi if they wanted a cab ride home as they would be in short supply.

About 20,000 people will attend the sold-out concert, with gates opening at 3pm and the show set to finish about 9.30pm.

Support acts start at 5.05pm, with Williams scheduled to hit the stage at 7.30pm.

Concertgoers who have decided to drive to the event have also been warned to be prepared for some delays when entering and leaving the venue.

Pedestrian traffic will not be allowed to leave the venue.

Earlier this week, Mr Newton said traffic coming from Waurn Ponds, Anglesea Rd and the Great Ocean Road should enter the event site from Reservoir Rd and follow the event signs.

“Traffic coming from Melbourne and Geelong should enter the on-site parking areas from Princes Highway via Pettavel Rd and follow the event signage,” he said.
