Vandals hit train stations, cinema

GRAFFITI was reported at train stations in North Geelong, Corio, Geelong and South Geelong, at the cinema in Lorne and a house in Lara. Vehicles were damaged at flats in Colac, carparks in Corio and in the street at Newtown. Windows were damaged at homes in Whittingto­n, Corio and Lovely Banks.

A SHED and garage were broken into in Lara, while jewellery was taken from a garage in Belmont. Cash and computers were stolen from a house in Elliminyt, a TV was taken from a house in Point Lonsdale, and power tools were pinched from a home in Torquay.

ALSO in Torquay, cash was stolen from businesses, offices and restaurant­s, with a school also targeted. Three fast food restaurant­s were hit in Armstrong Creek with offenders making off with cash and computers. Money was stolen at a constructi­on site in Geelong, where a licensed venue was also hit in the area. Cash was also taken from a school in Corio, with other schools targeted in Colac and Apollo Bay.

A VEHICLE stolen in Belmont was recovered in Fyansford, one taken from Lara was found in Hoppers Crossing and another stolen from Norlane was recovered in Whittingto­n.

Two vehicles were stolen from Belmont, with others stolen in Norlane, Whittingto­n, Geelong, Corio, Thomson, Marshall, South Geelong and Lara.

THERE were a number of incidents across the region, including in Norlane, Bell Park, Marshall, North Geelong, Waurn Ponds, Newcomb, Lovely Banks, Geelong, Herne Hill and East Geelong. Items stolen included number plates, money and power tools.
