Search for leadership candidates
THE Geelong Manufacturing Council is seeking applicants for a leadership program that has consistently produced outstanding business benefits through savings and efficiencies for participating companies.
Key pillars of the Leadership for Manufacturing Excellence Program include how to lead innovation and how to build a team culture.
Participants will have access to a raft of industry leaders through a series of workshops, site visits and one-on-one coaching.
According to the GMC, highlights of last year’s program include: REDUCTION in energy costs by more than $740,000 a year; GAINING more than $1.5 million in extra revenue and $185,200 in savings; and REDUCING loading times leading to $450,000 of increased output a year.
Geelong Manufacturing Council chief executive David Peart said the tangible results provided direct benefits to members, while participants grew their skill set in innovation and leadership.
“With such great returns on investment, the program is one of the most effective business programs in the Geelong region,” Mr Peart said.
Facilitators of the program include Anthony Clyne, from Australian Lean Manufacturing consulting company; team leadership expert Craig Biddiscombe, of Crowe Horwath; Jenny Perks, who has been with the program since its inception; theatre producer Amanda LaBonte; and innovation expert Andrew Jones.
The program includes five workshops between April and November with the first scheduled for April 18.
