INJURIES CRIPPLE TIGERS

-

TORQUAY could be excused for dropping its second-successive game on Saturday night. For the Tigers were missing key personnel when it met Geelong Amateur under lights at Spring Creek Reserve. There was no Dom Gleeson (pictured), the Tigers’ inspirational coach and in-andunder midfielder, nor did stars Paul McMahon and Zac Hopper line up. Ammos weren’t at full-strength either, with Daniel Ladgrove and Brenton Adams among a handful of players who didn’t suit up. The Tigers will need to bounce back — and quickly — when they meet coastal foe Anglesea this weekend. A third-straight loss would reduce Torquay to 1-3 and put its finals hopes in jeopardy.
