HOARE HITS TARGET
FIRST-year Eagle William Hoare has guided East Geelong to its first victory of the season thanks to a three-goal haul against Belmont. Hoare, who played 48 senior games for South Barwon since making his debut in 2011, was surprisingly left out of East Geelong’s best players list with recruits Samuel Lowe (Apollo Bay) and William Cann (St Mary’s) named top two for the second straight weekend. Firstyear coach Jeremy Power was pictured alongside his predecessor (and president) Shane Bailey holding the Mark Lomas Memorial Trophy (played between the two clubs).
