Better roads save lives
Economists have questioned the financial sense of expensive infrastructure such as the A1 Princes Highway duplication which connects Geelong (a regional city) to Colac (a regional town).

The initial cost and return is not the key, it’s the long-term benefits. They obviously don’t count the travel time for industry. If it’s slower, product prices go up and cost everyone. Juggy
