Teaming up to help disabled find work

-

GFORCE Employment Solutions in partnership with Encompass Community Services has been awarded the contract to provide disability employment services in Geelong and surrounding regions.

The partnership, created under the new name of EGF Solutions, will begin on July 1.

EGF Solutions will also provide disability employment services in the Ballarat and Warrnambool regions, Werribee and Melbourne’s western suburbs, opening new offices in each location and employing 11 new staff.

EGF Solutions will provide services on behalf of two Federal Government departments; the Department of Employ- ment and the Department of Social Services.

The appointment of EGF Solutions coincides with changes for people seeking work under the disability em- ployment services program, which gives participants greater provider choice and more flexible arrangements.

Gforce chief executive officer Rob Birch said he was delighted to join with Encompass to assist people of all abilities to find employment.

“Gforce’s wide expertise in employment services, combined with Encompass’s customer-focused approach, makes us ideally suited to serve the program participants in our region,” he said.

Encompass chief executive officer Elaine Robb said the partnership would enable more people to be assisted, more often.

“This is an exciting time and businesses and employers will have a skilled and taskoriented group of jobseekers from which to select their next employee,” Ms Robb said.

“Importantly, our existing program participants can continue to work with us, ensuring they have a consistent provider who knows them best.”
