You didn‘t hear it on the grapevine
NOTHING goes together like good food and good wine and that is exactly what local winery Jack Rabbit prides itself on.
The popular Bellarine Peninsula estate continues to treat customers to the finest local produce while making waves across the globe, including a nod from the Cool Climate Wine Show in June.
Director Lyndsay Sharp said the winery’s strong connection to the local community was one of the reasons Jack Rabbit had continued to grow since its opening in 2010.
“We love what we do and we love sharing this beautiful piece of the Bellarine with our patrons,” she said.
“It’s always been a priority of ours to keep it local here as much as we can, from the produce in the restaurant to the grapes in our wines, which are grown down in the Bellarine.
“There’s a great team down here and we’re proud to be employing lots of local kids and supporting the community.”
The winery is gearing up to showcase local produce from across the Bellarine Peninsula on Friday, August 17, for From the Garden, a five-course vegetarian meal with matched wines.
“We’re very excited for From the Garden, it’ll be great close to our Winter Harvest series,” Ms Sharp said.
