BAH TO TRANSITION, COACH MUST GET BETTER RESULTS
LONG-TIME Geelong supporters would not be surprised by Friday night’s belting by Melbourne including another pathetic first quarter.
Surely, the coach must start to accept some responsibility for the big starts given to the opposition in important games?
Chris Scott is like Malcolm Turnbull. He speaks very well but says little of substance.
Geelong will never get a wooden spoon while he is coach but it won’t win another flag under him.
He just keeps them near the middle of the ladder and apparently the club is satisfied with that.
Why do they continue to play Murdoch and Kolodjashnij in big games? They always fail under pressure. Kolodjashnij played on a wing but can’t pick the ball up off the ground and Murdoch has always failed when it counts. He must be the worst player to play 100 games with Geelong.
Mitch Duncan is very overrated. His supposed perfect disposal fails under pressure and he turns the ball over with his instinct to handball before he considers kicking.
What has the club done? They have extended the contract of the coach who continues to tell us the club is in transition. They have been in transition since they won the 2011 flag!
Surely, that excuse for failure can’t continue to be used by the coach? Norm Fraser, Inverloch
