Lara locals snap up high-end homes
Land, location and luxury lure buyers at weekend’s auctions
ALMOST $3 million worth of property sold at auction in Lara on the weekend with local families the winning bidders.
Grand homes on a bit of land are in high demand as families looking to upsize.
Ray White, Lara agent Matthew Wade sold 14-17 Nilaur Place under the hammer for $1.15 million.
Bidding started on a live bid of $1 million, followed by a vendor bid of $1.05 million.
Several more live and vendor bids followed before the agent consulted with the vendor and sole bidder. The property was sold to the sole bidder for $1.15 million.
The buyers were a Lara family that had been looking on and off for years and were attracted to the size of the 4124sq m property.
The Malishev house has four bedrooms, a study and two living areas.
“This property is a fantastic opportunity. It has the most amazing shedding and is a twominute drive to the train station,” Mr Wade said.
Mr Wade also sold 2/4 McHarrys Rd under the hammer to a local family for $995,000.
“There were two bidders with a total of 10 bids,” he said.
