A NEW travel and lifestyle magazine, Avalon Inbound | Outbound, is set to be launched in late September. The free quarterly magazine will be available for passengers flying internationally on AirAsia or domestically on Jetstar. BOXING Day at the beach will be ramped up to a whole new level this year.

The team behind UNO DanceClub and Bloom is getting outdoors for what it describes as its biggest venture to date.

Called the Dancing Heads Music Festival, the event will convert the Barwon Heads Hotel car park into a boutique arts and entertainment precinct.

UNO Presents is yet to announce the line-up, but top-tier local and national acts have been promised.

Food trucks, cocktails and craft beer will also be on offer.

The team has also hinted that it intends to establish the festival as a regular on the region’s social calendar.

“Boxing Day at the Barwon Heads Hotel has been one of the biggest dates of the calendar for many years,” UNO Presents said.

“So when we got the callup to turn the hotel car park into a festival site, just a stone’s throw from the water, we were more than happy to oblige.

“This will be the perfect way to kick off your postChristmas celebrations, this year and every year.”

The dance music promoters got a taste of the outdoors last Easter at Torquay for Coastal Jam.

They have also run open air parties at the Lord Nelson Hotel, called Sundae.

Tickets for Dancing Heads Music Festival go on sale on October 3.

The event is scheduled to run from 2pm to 11pm, but there will be “multiple afterparties” too.
