Helping keep working parents in the loop

-

A UNIQUE portal known as the “The Loop” will be used by Cotton On to offer support to team members on parental leave and allow them to stay connected.

The Cotton On Group has announced a partnership with Circle In to provide the service, which supports people through their parenthood journey and return to work.

Recognising the importance of supporting working parents, Cotton On is also providing school holiday care through the KidsCo program.

The Loop will complement Cotton On’s existing team engagement and retention initiatives, which have helped the group be recognised as Employer of Choice in the 2018 Australian Business Awards.

Circle In founder and director Jodi Geddes said working parents needed support to be able to manage having a family and career.

“Our unique program supports working parents, well beyond policies — and not just for mothers,” Ms Geddes said.

“It will include a portal, handbook, master classes and network that keep parents connected with the business.”

The Cotton On Group’s general manager for people and performance, Raith Hutchinson, said the company was proud to be an early adopter of the program.

“With around 200 team members on parental leave at any given time, we know that The Loop will be incredibly valuable to the wellbeing of our team,” he said.

As part of its support for working families, Cotton On last week held a fair for families and their children.
