GCA GETS MORE BROADCAST COVERAGE

-

GET excited, cricket fans. The Geelong Cricket Association is set to reach new heights this season.

GCA Media, coupled with Sport Focus Videography, will showcase quality cricket in the Geelong region with two initiatives this summer.

Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers have thrown their support behind the Geelong Cricket Show, a half-hour look at crick- et in the region to be hosted by GCA publicity and promotions manager Wes Cusworth and Mark Brunger.

The Channel 31 program, to be produced by Noel Fanning, will air at 7pm on Friday and be repeated at 9am on Saturday.

Alongside that, the GCA Media team will be livestreaming the second session of oneday games and the second session of the second day of two-day games this summer.

“The success of last summer’s T20 grand final and pennant grand final live streams showed there’s genuine interest in following the game through our expanding electronic coverage,” Cusworth said.

“The coverage through the GCA Facebook page won’t just entail ball-by-ball commentary of the selected match, but also regular score updates from games in other divisions and grades.

“There’s so many talented players in our competition, and the different divisions are so even, I envisage there’ll be enormous interest in how each of the games are playing out.”

The live stream action begins from 3pm on Saturday featuring South Barwon and Geelong City.
