Well, well, well, what an event
Lon Retreat & Spa MODELS and social media stars Steph Smith and Laura Henshaw are set to headline Geelong’s first Self-Care Sunday Wellness Festival.
The day-long event at Johnstone Park on October 28 will bring Australia’s top health and wellbeing advocates to town to help influence improvements to the community’s physical and mental health.
Smith and Henshaw, cofounders of Keep It Cleaner (KIC), will be hosting group workouts and inspiring discussions about how small lifestyle changes can bring about big health gains.
“When you eat clean, think clean and live clean, you can take on the world,” they said.
“That’s why we believe a healthy body and mind is the secret to success and happiness.”
The day will offer a variety of activities, including a stair-climb of Geelong’s tallest building, the WorkSafe headquarters, and various workouts, motivational speakers, cooking demonstrations and market stalls.
Self-love guru Melissa Ambrosini, celebrity chef Luke Hines, Strive to Thrive’s Dr Karen White, mental health advocate Tony McManus and School Lunch Box Dad George Georgievski will all play a part in the day.
All proceeds will be donated to organisations that support mental and physical mental wellbeing programs in Geelong. The event, supported by WorkSafe, will run from 8am-5pm. View the full program and register at selfcaresunday.com.au
