The Armistace, Victoria Remembers THE Armistice display on the City Hall facade marks the 100-year anniversar­y of the end of World War I. CREATED by Melbourne visual artist Carla O’Brien, this installati­on invites you to touch and interact with its neon doggies made from LED neon flex. HOSTED by DJ Lady Bove who had everyone moving at the Groove Tram at White Night Bendigo. THE lanterns have been designed by illustrato­r and designer Tyson Savanah and handcrafte­d into metal sculptures, illuminate­d with LED lights and encased in silk skin. The designs represent the diverse fauna and flora found throughout Australia. THIS installati­on set on Corio Bay by Cunningham Pier is a combinatio­n of projection and audio soundscape. THERE will be full road closures from 4pm Saturday until 3am Sunday along parts of: Western Beach Rd, Eastern Beach Rd, Gheringhap St, Cunningham St, Brougham St, Corio St, Mercer St, Railway Tce, Fenwick St, Malop St and Little Malop St. There will be local access only on many surroundin­g roads in the CBD, and restricted access to Geelong Station from 4pm. ADDITIONAL V/Line train and coach services will run to and from Melbourne. Coach services will also link the Geelong CBD to Waurn Ponds, Anglesea, Lorne, Winchelsea and Colac. Dedicated White Night bus routes will operate from 6pm to 3am, connecting the CBD to Lara, Grovedale, Purnell Rd, Separation St, Torquay, Barwon Heads, St Albans Park, Ocean Grove, Drysdale and Deakin Uni. In addition to White Night, a supercross event at GMHBA Stadium from 1pm-9pm is expected to generate heavy traffic in the area.
