Squeeze no latte matter

Geelong Advertiser - - YOUR SAY -

MORE than 150 objections were lodged against the Bean Squeeze drivethrough proposed for Highton. On Thursday night the Geelong council voted unanimously against a bid to build the outlet.

See, people get cranky without coffee. I’m sure if they allowed the coffee they’d be a lot happier. Teagan Louise LB

Complaining for the sake of it. Ryan Coy

Wow. Would’ve imagined it would have been buried by now. Danielle Thompson

I’m a Highton resident. Bring on Bean Squeeze. Daniel Breen

Take the traffic flow into account. The one in Shannon Ave is a joke. Also the one in High St, Belmont. Brian Gaylard

The one on the corner of Torquay Rd and Church St, Grovedale, is a traffic pain. Beverley Shallard-Macleod

I wish it was a bar instead, I’d love a place to sit down and drink in Highton. Kriströður Úlfurson

I remember it at the Highton meeting. Wow, council must be putting up roadblocks again. Listen to the people directly affected, council. Sure it wouldn’t happen in Harwood’s street. Rudy Horvat

Enough coffee shops already. No Beans, thanks. Fraser Djuna

Ridiculous location will cause traffic issues each morning and night. Traffic is banked back for blocks as it is; will only get busier as the Wandana Heights estate is populated. John Watts

There are very many places to get coffee in Highton. Encourage those who need coffee to get out of their cars. Council-controlled land is not ‘free’ for anyone with a business idea. Jenny Possingham

Bean Squeeze make better coffee than anywhere else in that area. Once it goes ahead, all the people complaining with their dodgy signs will be buying their coffee there. Jase Frehley

First they complain about an aged care facility, now a coffee shop. What next for them to complain about? Rachelle Carter
