LIBS NAME LARA CANDIDATE

THE Liberal Party has finally announced its candidate for Lara, only 17 days from the state election.

The party yesterday revealed it had endorsed Melissa Di Pasquale to run against incumbent Labor MP John Eren, who holds the seat on a comfortable 17 per cent margin.

Little is known about Ms Di Pasquale, with scarce information available online. Requests to the Liberal Party for further information also went unanswered yesterday.

Mr Eren said Ms Di Pasquale’s nomination was “good news”.

“It’s better late than never,” he said. “But this has been a debacle in relation to finding a candidate for the very important electorate of Lara.

“It’s a shame on the Liberal Party for dragging their heels on finding a latestarter candidate.”
