THE South Barwon Football-Netball Club and the Highton Cricket Club are coming together as co-tenants of McDonald Reserve on Sunday for the “Battle of the Barwon”.

The Swans and the Heat will play a T10 cricket match to raise funds for former player David Kelly, who has motor neurone disease.

The footballer­s will take on the cricketers in the T10 match from 1pm, and there will be live music, food and drinks and auction items throughout the day, including tickets to the Day on the Green concert featuring the Red Hot Chili Peppers. All proceeds from the day will go to the Kelly family. BLUES’ BIRTHDAY BASH WINCHELSEA Cricket Club will reach a significan­t milestone next month.

The Blues are set to celebrate their 160th birthday.

To mark the occasion, the club will host a light lunch and afternoon tea at Eastern Reserve on Sunday, December 2.

The cost is $20 for adults and $5 for children 10-17.

Displays, scorebooks, photos and memorabili­a will be available.

The Redbacks have rolled out the welcome mat for past players, officials, families and supporters to return to the club on Saturday.
