Neville dismisses Libs’ YouTube clip

-

A WAR of words has erupted between Lisa Neville and the Liberal Party state president over vision showing the Police Minister drinking wine the day after the Bourke St terrorist attack.

Mobile phone footage of Ms Neville drinking wine was posted on social media channels belonging to the Liberals.

In a three-minute video on YouTube, Liberal Party state president Michael Kroger claims the footage was taken in Melbourne at noon on November 10, less than 24 hours after Shire Ali’s deadly rampage in the CBD.

It is understood Ms Neville, pictured, who is Labor’s Bellarine MP, was having lunch in the city after being called to do a press conference with Prem- ier Daniel Andrews.

“This is very desperate stuff, even by the standards of the Liberal Party,” Ms Neville said.

The Geelong Advertiser has been told the footage was taken by Liberal Party sup- porters.

In Mr Kroger’s video, titled ‘Message from the President’, he said it was “unbelievable” that Ms Neville was at a wine bar the day after the incident.

“You would think in Victoria, given the crisis that took place last Friday week in Melbourne, that ministers in the Andrews Government would be solely focused on what we were going to do about this problem. There was a crisis Cabinet meeting on the Saturday morning, as you would expect, to deal with this issue.”
