The Reitman for the job

- TESSA HAYWARD

THE central Geelong landscape is continuing to change as construction on the G1 Apartment development tops-out.

The six-level Sinclair Brook 110apartment development now transcends the skyline, providing stunning views across Corio Bay to the You Yangs and back towards Kardinia Park from the top level.

The view from the rooftop terraces will also include a direct view into GMHBA Stadium, providing footy fans with a private (if not distant) view of the Cats playing.

Sinclair Brook project manager John Grigg said the project was now a prominent part of the Geelong skyline.

“There are only three apartments left to sell and buyers are getting really excited seeing it come to life,” Mr Grigg said.

Ireland Brown Constuctions’ Tom McKay said the roof structure was currently being erected for the rooftop terraces, the facade would be starting soon and the fit-out had started on the ground floor.

“The crane will also be coming down the end of March,” Mr McKay said.

The majority of the 110 apartments were for sale between $295,000-$795,000 with two exceptions up to $1.3 million.

There will be a variety of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, plus two four-bedroom penthouses.

Sinclair Brook worked with a team of professionals including architect Daryl Pelchen and celebrity interior stylist Nadia Bartel to bring these and highquality apartments to central Geelong.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year. IVAN Reitman is passing the Ghostbusters torch to his son.

Four-time Oscar nominee Jason Reitman is set to direct a new instalment in the Ghostbusters series set to come out in 2020.

Reitman tweeted yesterday that he’s “finally got the keys to the car.”

Ivan Reitman directed and produced the original which came out in 1984, and its sequel in 1989.

Sony says the new Ghostbusters will go back to its roots and will be the next chapter in the original story.

Sony attempted to reboot Ghostbusters in 2016 with gender-flipped leads, but the costly film disappointed at the box office.
